Simon Says - Confetti Butterflies

Hello my friends, I'm back to share another card made with products from Simon Says Stamp Happy Camper release. As usual there are lots of fabulous products to inspire your creativity and you can check them all out HERE

I used the Confetti Butterflies Embossing Folder, perfect for one of my favourite techniques along with Tim Holtz/Ranger Ink Mini Distress Oxide inks and Simon Says Fancy Thank You dies for the sentiment.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4" and embossed using Simon Says Confetti Butterflies Embossing Folder so that the debossing was on the smooth side of the card.
I coloured the butterflies using a mix of Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Stormy Sky and Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide Mini Ink cubes with Mini Blending Brushes and used Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade to colour the background.
I dragged the Versafine Clair Nocturne ink lightly over the panel, purposefully leaving some of the background colour showing.
I die-cut the Simon Says Fancy Thank You 3 times from Distress Watercolor card, layered to create dimension and lightly coloured the bottom of the die-cut with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink using a Mini Blending Brush. I fixed the die-cut to the shadow section, die-cut from vellum and fixed to the panel with Simon Says Pawsitively Perfect Craft Glue. To finish I matted the panel on to an A2 white card blank.

Have fun with whatever you are creating.

Simon Says - Happy Camper release

Hello my friends, Simon Says Stamp have just launched their latest release - Happy Camper. As usual there are lots of fabulous products in the release to inspire your creativity and you can check them all out HERE.

I created a card using the Simon Says Stamp Mid-Century Elemental Plate along with the Big Botanicals stamp set and EZ Strips Everyday stamps and EZ Strips Rectangles die from a previous release. I was inspired by the cover photo on the die packaging to have fun with a little bit of stamping and dimensional paper piecing.
I began by trimming Distress Watercolor card to create 3 - A2 panels, the same size as the Mid-Century Elemental die and coloured 2 of the panels using Worn Lipstick/Wild Honey and Bundled Sage/Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks.
I stamped the images from Big Botanicals, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, on to all 3 panels using my Stamp Platform to ensure they were all stamped in the same place on each panel.
I covered the back of each panel with Sizzix Adhesive Sheets and die-cut using the Mid-Century Elemental Plate. I fixed the white panel on to a panel of Distress Watercolor card and started fixing the coloured pieces into their matching negative spaces.
Once I had completed most of the paper piecing, I fixed the remaining pieces in place using Simon Says Small Thin Foam Squares to create random dimension.
I couldn't resist adding a little bit of splatter using the new Pawsitively Perfect White Splatter which can be used straight from the jar, no need to decant on to your glass mat and spritz with water and no clean up.
I matted the panel on to a white card blank covered with Simon Says Slate cardstock. I stamped the sentiments from Simon Says Stamp EZ Strips Everyday 4" x 6" stamp set on to a scrap of Slate cardstock, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder, heat set, die-cut using the co-ordinating EZ Strips Rectangles die and fixed to the panel with Simon Says Thin Foam Squares.

I'll be back later today to share another card made with products from the release. In the meantime, have fun with whatever you're making.

Simon Says - Summertime Blues

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
SUMMERTIME BLUES
I created an Art Journal page using Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Snapshots, Photographic and Archives Collage Paper, Stampers Anonymous Mini Layering Stencils from Sets 9, 43 and 46 with Distress Oxide inks and Distress Opaque and Translucent Grit Paste.
I spritzed the pages of my Dina Wakley White 6" x 6" Media Journal with water, sprayed with Speckled Egg Distress Spray Stain, let the water work it's magic and dried.
I fixed a Tim Holtz/idea-ology SnapShot in place with Distress Collage Medium and applied Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink through the Splotches Mini Layering Stencil from Set 9.
I replaced the Splotches Mini Layering over the original stencilling, applied Distress Translucent Grit Paste to create texture and set aside to dry, I applied Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink through the Scales Mini Layering Stencil from Setr 46.
I fixed torn strips of Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Photographic Collage Paper in place using Distress Collage Medium and a Distress Collage Brush.
I applied Distress Opaque Grit Paste through the Grime Mini Layering Stencil from Set 43 to create more texture.
I trimmed the individual letters from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Archives Collage Paper and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.
To finish I added Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Small Talk and Chit Chat Stickers.

Simon Says - How've You Been?

Hello my friends, I'm back to share another card made with the Best-Teas 6" x 8" stamp set, Demilune Embossing Folder and Carta Bella Coffee Shop 6" x 6" patterned papers from Simon Says - Best-Teas August 2025 Card Kit. You can find details of what is included in the kit, how to subscribe to the monthly kits or buy individual items from the kit HERE.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", die-cut a circle aperture, ran the panel through my die-cutting machine using Simon Says Demilune Embossing Folder and lightly inked the edges using Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink and a Mini Blending Tool.
I trimmed Carta Bella Coffee Shop paper to fit behind the aperture and stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Best-Teas 6" x 8" stamp set, inked with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink.
I added left over strips of the Carta Bella Coffee Shop papers across the bottom of the panel.
I stamped the images from Simon Says Best-Teas stamp set on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink. I smooshed the Distress Oxide ink pads on to my glass mat, coloured the images using a Distress Detailer Brush and fussy cut. There are co-ordinating dies available for this stamp set (linked below)
I fixed the stamped items and signs trimmed from one of the patterned papers in place on the panel using Simon Says Thin Foam Squares to create dimension and fixed the panel to an A2 white card blank.

Have a great weekend whatever you have planned and I'll see you all on Monday to share my DT project for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
