Simon Says - Through The Window Shaker Card

Hello my friends, I'm back to share another card using the fabulous products in Simon Says Stamp Through The Window July 2025 card kit. If you don't yet subscribe or if you would like to purchase individual items from the kit, you can find all the details HERE.

I created a shaker card using the left over Window Trio frame die-cut from La La Land "In The City" patterned paper from yesterday's card, images and a sentiment from Simon Says Through The Window 6" x 8" stamp set and decorated with flowers die-cut using Simon Says Honeycomb Trio dies.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", die cut an aperture using Simon Says Window Trio die and fixed acetate behind the aperture. I fixed the window frame die-cut from the La La Land "In The City" patterned paper for yesterday's card in place with dots of Simon Says Pawsitively Perfect Craft Glue.
I coloured the background using Weathered Wood, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks using Mini Round Blending Tools, flicked on splatters of water and dried. I stamped the tree branch from Simon Says Through The Window 6" x 8" stamp set, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink.
I fixed a panel of La La Land "In The City" contrasting paper to the front of a 4.1/2" x 5.3/4" white card blank.
I placed a selection of Simon Says Embellishment Mixes and Trinity Stamps Creamy Vanilla Heart Sprinkles in the centre of the card panel, added Simon Says Stamp 3D Foam Strips on the back of the window panel and pressed into place.
I die-cut the flowers from scraps of the background paper using Simon Says Honeycomb Tag die, fixed in place and used a Sakura Black Glaze Pen to add the flower centres.
I stamped the sentiment from the Through The Window 6" x 8" stamp set on to Vellum, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with Simon Says White Embossing Powder and heat set. I fixed the strip to a Sizzix Adhesive Sheet, tore the top and bottom edges, fixed to the panel and trimmed off the excess at the sides.
I inked the bird images from the Through The Window stamp set with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and stamped to fill the blank areas on the panel.

I'll be back soon with more makes, in the meantime, have fun with whatever you're making.

Simon Says Stamp - Through The Window July Card Kit

Hello my friends, it's that time of the month when Simon Says Stamp release a new card kit and the Through The Window July 2025 Card Kit is beautiful, great value for money and filled to the brim with great products to play with. If you don't already subscribe or wish to purchase individual items from the kit, you can find all the details HERE.

It's always exciting when a new kit arrives in the cubbyhole, I can't wait to unpack it and am itching to play.
I created a card using one of the gorgeous La La Land Crafts In The City 6" x 6" patterned papers, Simon Says Window Trio and Honeycomb Tag dies, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mischievous Thinlits and a sentiment from Simon Says Through The Window 6" x 8" stamp set.
I began by die-cutting the window from the patterned paper.
I trimmed the patterned paper to 4" x 5.1/4" and fixed to the front of an A2 white card blank. I die-cut the window again from Distress Watercolor card and fixed into the negative space. I puzzled pieced the patterned paper die-cut sections back into the window frame and fixed in place using the new Simon Says Pawsitively Perfect Craft Glue. I die-cut an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card using the Window die, placed a piece of the acetate included in the kit behind the aperture and fixed the die-cut patterned paper window frame into the aperture, ready for another card.
I die-cut the window again twice from Distress Watercolor card and layered to create dimension. I die-cut the cat twice from Distress Black HeavyStock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mischievous Thinlits. I sanded scraps of Sizzix Revealz Sandable Spiced cardstock and die-cut the flowers using Simon Says Honeycomb Tag dies.
I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Through The Window 6" x 8" stamp set on to a scrap of Distress Black HeavyStock, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with Simon Says White Embossing Powder, heat set, trimmed and fixed in place with the 3D foam strips included in the kit.

Oops, I did replace the missing flower centre
I'll be back tomorrow to share the shaker card I made with the left over window frame die-cut. In the meantime, have fun with whatever you're making.

Simon Says - Spritz And/Or Splatter

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
SPRITZ AND/OR SPLATTER
I spritzed Tim Holtz Distress Saltwater Taffy, Kitsch Flamingo and Lucky Clover Spray Stains through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Flourish Mini Layering Stencil from Set 10 to create backgrounds, applied Distress Black Texture Paste through the Wildflower Mini Layering Stencil also from the same set and added lots of splatter using Dina Wakley White and Black Gloss Sprays and Tim Holtz Distress Sugary Gumdrops Mica Stain.
I spritzed the 3 colours of Distress Spray Stain through the Flourish Mini Layering Stencil from Set 10 on to the left panel, lifted the stencil, sprayed the back of the stencil with water, laid on to the second panel and pressed the ink into the panel with a piece of kitchen towel to create a monoprint effect.
I inked the edges of the panels using Lucky Clover Distress Oxide ink applied with a Mini Round Blending Tool. I applied Distress Black Opaque Texture Paste through the Wildflower Mini Layering Stencil from the same set.
I applied Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide ink with a Mini Round Blending Tool through the Dot Grid Mini Layering Stencil from Set 27 to add more colour on the backgrounds. I added splatters of Dina Wakley Black and White Gloss Sprays.
I fixed the Idea-ology Small Talk Stickers to scraps of Distress Watercolor card, trimmed and used a Memento Black Marker to colour the white edges.
I spritzed Sugary Gumdrop Distress Mica Stain to my glass mat and used to add shimmering splatters to the panels.
To finish, I trimmed the panels to 4" x 5.1/4", added the Small Talk Stickers to the panels popped up on Simon Says Stamp Foam Strips and fixed the panels to A2 white card blanks.

Drifting Flowers + Alcohol Inks

Hello my friends, I'm sharing cards I made using Simon Says Stamp Drifting Flowers Embossing Folder on Tim Holtz/Ranger Alcohol Ink Pearl backgrounds, with Simon Says Stamp Hello and Fancy Love wafer dies, Reverse Best Friends and All The Love Sentiment Strips to create the sentiments.

I created the backgrounds on 5" x 7" sheets of White Yupo by sprinkling on Blending Solution, added drops of Tranquil, Radiant and Sublime Alcohol Ink Pearls and used the Distress Alcohol Ink Air Blower to move the inks around. Once the backgrounds were dry, I ran them through my die-cutting machine with Simon Says Stamp Drifting Flowers Embossing Folder. I used a Mini Round Blending Tool and Distress Sanding Disk to remove the colour from the raised embossed areas and wiped with a damp cloth to remove the dust.

I used a Sakura Black Glaze Pen to colour the centres of the small flowers.
I die-cut Simon Says Stamp Hello and Fancy Love dies 4 times from Distress Watercolor card, the shadow dies once from Vellum and layered to create dimensional sentiments.
I trimmed the panels to 4" x 5.1/4", fixed the die-cuts in place with Distress Collage Medium and added secondary sentiments trimmed from Simon Says Stamp Reverse All The Love and Reverse Best Friends Sentiment Strips, popped up on Simon Says Stamp 3D foam strips. I added a Trinity Stamps Coffee Bean Heart Sprinkle to the Fancy Love die-cut.
To finish I matted the panels on to A2 panels of Distress Black HeavyStock and fixed to A2 top-folding white card blanks.

Have fun with whatever you're making.

Simon Says - Monochrome

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
MONOCHROME
I decorated a Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mini Etcetera Tag using 49and Market Color Swatch Charcoal 6" x 8" patterned papers, Rub-on Transfers, Charcoal Acetate Assortment, Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Baseboard Window Frame, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mosaic Mini Layering Stencil from Set 28 and Distress Texture Paste Opaque Crackle.
I trimmed one of the Color Swatch Charcoal patterned papers to fit the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mini Etcetera Tag and fixed in place using Distress Collage Medium and a Distress Collage Brush.
Once the paper was dry, I sanded the edges to remove excess paper using a Mini Round Blending Tool and Distress Sanding Disk. I applied Distress Texture Paste Opaque Crackle through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mosaic Mini Layering Stencil from Set 28.
I sanded a Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Baseboard Window Frame to lighten the colour and fixed to the tag with Distress Collage Medium.
I added Charcoal Rub-on Transfers, the flower/leaves, butterfly and colour strip from the Charcoal Acetate Assortment pack and added splatters of white and black gesso.
I used a Mini Round Blending Tool and black gesso to colour the edges of the tag and the reinforcer.
I dry brushed the reinforcer with white gesso to lighten and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.
I sprayed Distress Black Soot Spray Stain on to my glass media mat, dipped white ribbon into the stain repeatedly, sprayed with water until I was happy with the colour and dried.
I fixed the ribbon in place to create a hanger and added a bow.
